DISCUSSION: The amendment involves the code section regulating site obstructions within triangular areas at street corners. Curb lines would replace property liens as the reference point for determining the obstruction-free triangle. Curb lines bear a constant relationship to the actual travel lane sight geometry while property lines vary according to the parkway width. The current ordinance based on property lines results in inadequate visibility triangles when parkways are narrow and excessive and when parkways are unusually wide.
