To: Chairman, and Members of the Planning Commission
From: Paul A. Williams , Director of Environmental. Services
Re: The Proposed I-S Zone District
Please find attached a. copy of the rough draft of the pro-
posed I-S Zone District . This matter is scheduled for dis-
cussion at your meeting of September 3. The purpose of this
discussion will be to review the various elements of this
zone and to determine whether the direction and requirements
as written are appropriate. If it is found by the Commission
that the draft as written is acceptable, Staff will set the
matter for hearing at the first meeting in October. Between
now and that time, Staff: will review the proposed ordinance
with various members of the community that have a direct in-
terest in such a zone , to obtain additional input in the fi-
nalization of this zone.
The only action required from the Commission is an indication
as to whether this zone is appropriate as a starting point .
If this is the case, then a minute motion to direct Staff to
review it with various affected persons would be appropriate.
