RESEARCH DETERMINES CVB DECISIONS Research is a vital tool that informs all aspects of the CVB's work. We work with a variety of research partners to make informed decisions on our destination campaigns, messaging, and targeting. MMGY NextFactor: In 2019 the CVB embarked on an important assessment measuring stakeholders' perception of our destination strength and community alignment. This project further evolved in 2020 into city -specific experiential recommendations to attract visitors and improve resident engagement Destination Analysts: Destination Analysts has been an invaluable resource and partner during the pandemic. Recently, we concluded a consumer sentiment study specific to Greater Palm Springs to explore perceptions, aspirations and plans to visit while also identifying travel motivators and sources of inspiration. • SMARI: SMARI surveys pre -qualified travelers to measure the awareness of advertising, effectiveness of the media plan and overall return on investment. These studies continue to be invaluable resources for formulating and guiding advertising strategy. • Uber Media: A powerful tool using mobile location data to measure visitation. This allows us to track points of interest, source markets, demographics, and audience affinity. • Tourism Economics: SYMPHONY is an intelligence platform that aggregates real-time data from a myriad of sources creating harmonized reporting directly impacting decision -making with immediate stakeholder access.
