Subject: City Council Agenda (September 9, 2021)
Below you will find questions received from the Mayor and/or Councilmembers and answers provided
by City staff regarding tonight’s Council meeting agenda.
Consent Calendar – Item 6:
• Question: What COVID precautions will be in place during the event?
o Answer: The Chamber will follow all State and County guidelines required at the time of
the event. Current State guidelines can be found here:
https://www.cdph.ca.gov/Programs/CID/DCDC/Pages/COVID-19/Beyond-Blueprint-
Framework.aspx.
• Question: Will there be portable hand washing stations in other high traffic areas, not
just restrooms? If not, can we request the Chamber or Burrtec to provide them?
o Answer: Staff will work with Burrtec and the Chamber to secure hand washing stations
and/or hand sanitizing stations in high traffic areas.
• Question: Will the City have a booth/tent at the event?
o Answer: The City does not typically have a booth at the event.
• Question: Did the Chamber of Commerce CEO, Randy Florence, request more help
and/or funding than what the City is providing?
o Answer: Staff has meet with Randy Florence several times regarding the budget for
this event and they have not received a specific request for more help or money than
what is requested in the Staff Report.
