Action Calendar – Item 11: • Question: If there is a coin toss required between a District 1 candidate and multiple District 2 candidates for the Mayor Rotation, is it only the top vote getter from the District 2 candidates that gets to participate in the coin toss? o Answer: Yes, priority between District 2 candidates is determined by number of votes, and priority between District 1 and District 2 candidates is determined by coin toss. • Question: If a coin toss is needed, who determines who gets to call heads or tails? o Answer: The policy does not specify, so it would be up to the current Mayor to decide who gets to call heads or tails. Action Calendar – Item 14: • Question: The chart on page 2 of the Staff Report recommends replacing the radius restriction of 20 miles with a clause requiring no management of golf courses within the City limits or comparable Coachella Valley resort or Municipal Course. The second to the last bullet point on page 1 of Attachment B in the Draft RFP (page 14 of the Draft RFP) includes a 20 mile radius of exclusion. Can you clarify? o Answer: The radius of exclusion language was mistakenly included in the draft RFP. The RFP attached to the Staff Report is in draft form and if the City Council approves staffs’ recommendations on the four key RFP components staff will make the appropriate a final adjustments to the RFP before it is released.
