December 31 Holidav January 1 Holidav January 2 Staff Meetinq Meeting with staff members to establish the agenda for the next meeting of the City Council. Lori Carnev Met potential temporary employees for the Executive Assistant position January 3 Mavor, Mavor Pro Tem. and Citv Attornev Participated in weekly meeting with Mayor, Mayor Pro Tem, City Attorney, and Assistant City Manager to discuss current issues of concern relative to the conduct of municipal business January 6 Office Hours General availability to staff members on a walk-in basis to discuss matters of current concern. Citv Manager's Strategic Policv Planning Meetinq Meeting with department heads and leadership staff to discuss matters of internal policy and current issues. Sequential meetings: The first with Michael Landes and Susan Marie Weber, and the second with Michael Landes, Sabby Jonathan, and Gina Nestande. January 7 Parks and Recreation Commission Meetinq Attended monthly Commission Meeting. Lori Carnev Met with Lori Carney to discuss personnel matters and current issues in the Administrative Services Department. Short Term Rental Hardship Appeals Meeting with City Attorney, Kevin Swart, Ryan Stendell, Andy Firestein, short term rental property owners, and Jane Usher for I love Palm Desert. Martin Alvarez Met with Martin Alvarez for PD iHUB site visit and to discuss current issues in the Economic Development Department. Represent Palm Desert Strateqic Communications & Outreach Meeting with staff and consultants to develop and refine outreach plan to educate and to gather input from residents regarding district voting. January 8 City Attornev Meeting with City Attorney to discuss current issues involving interpretations and applications of the municipal code, pending and threatened litigation, the Brown Act, conflicts of interest, and other matters. Martin Alvarez Meeting to discuss current projects and issues relative to economic development.
