Aryan, Risk Manager REQUEST: Receive and File ;Emergency Services Coordinator's Monthly Report for February 2020 Recommendation By Minute Motion, receive and file. Background The City of Palm Desert and Indian Wells have contracted for a shared Emergency Services Coordinator, via a contract with the Riverside County Emergency Management Department. This position oversees many areas including, but not limited to, emergency planning, staff training, community outreach, coordinating exercises, grant management, emergency response, and post-event recovery. The attached report provides details on the Coordinator's activities for the month. of February'2020. Fiscal Analysis No fiscal impact is associated with this item. Please note that for FY 2019/20, the City budgeted $78 ,019 for its share of these contracted services .Staff also pursues an annual Federal matching grant to offset a portion of these costs.
