Recommendation By Minute Motion, authorize Desert Willow Golf Resort to purchase maintenance equipment from Turf Star/Westem of Hayward, California during FY 2019-20, in the amount of $72,241.40. Funds are available in Account No. 5204195-4803100, Course and Grounds Expenses Strateqic Plan Obiective Ongoing maintenance of Desert Willow golf courses supports one of the City's premier recreational facilities. By preserving and enhancing this facility, the City furthers its goals of continuing the high quality of life that our residents and visitors expect by providing recreational and exercise opportunities in all public spaces. Background Analvsis As part of the FY 2019-20 budget, Desert Willow included the anticipated costs of one reel grinder and one bed knife grinder (sharpeners). Useful life for this equipment is typically 10 years. The current equipment is approximately 13 years old and requiring more maintenance than usual to keep them operational. The grinders are used on a daily basis to sharpen the reels and bedkinifes of the mowers utilized to mow the turf low and uniformly. On June 15 and June 21, 2019, a Notice Inviting Bids for the purchase of maintenance equipment for the Desert Willow Golf Resort was published in The Desert Sun.
