Gaugush, Capital Improvement Projects Technician REQUEST: Approve acceptance of work for Contract No. C36350 with CAL Stripe, Inc.,' of Colton, California, for the 2017 Citywide Striping Project (Project No. 564-17). Recommendation By Minute Motion, accept the work as complete and authorize the City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion for Contract No. C363850, the 2017 Citywide Striping Project (Project No. 564-17). Strategic Plan The Citywide Striping Project is an on-going maintenance activity and, as such, does not contribute directly to the objectives of the Strategic Plan. Background Analysis On August 24, 2017, the City Council awarded Contract No. C36350 to Cal Stripe, Inc. of Colton, California, for the 2017 City Striping Project. Staff has inspected the work performed by the contractor and has found said work to be complete and in accordance with the contract requirements. Project Description The 2017 Citywide Striping Project re-stripped the majority of arterial and collector streets in the City of Palm Desert. Those streets specifically eliminated from the project are those which will be addressed this calendar year through other capital improvements projects.
