Where sanitary facilities are located on accessible levels they all shall be disabled accessible. CBC Section 11 B-101.1 6. Exit doors shall be operable from the inside without the use of a key, special knowledge, or effort. In Group A (< 300), B, F, M, and S occupancies, key- locking hardware may be used on the main exit if a sign is posted at door stating "THIS DOOR TO REMAIN UNLOCKED WHEN BUILDING IS OCCUPIED". CBC Section 1008.1 .9.3 7. Door hardware shall be openable with a single effort without requiring the ability to grasp the hardware (lever or push type is acceptable) mounted 34" to 44"(864mm to 1118mm) above the floor. CBC Section 11 B-604.7 12.Doors to disabled accessible sanitary facilities shall be identified by 1/4"(6.4mm) thick geometric symbols of contrasting color and contrast centered on the door at a height of a maximum 60"(1524mm) and a minimum of 58"(1473mm) range with a 12"(305mm) equilateral triangle for men and 12" (305mm) diameter circle for women. CBC Section 1210.2.2 18.Where the means of egress system serves a building that require two or more exits, the power supply for exit illumination shall be provided by an emergency system (storage batteries, generator) in event of failure of the premises' wiring system.
