STAFF REPORT
REQUEST TO DECLARE CHAIRS AS SURPLUS AND
AUTHORIZE DISPOSAL AS PROPOSED
Mark Greenwood, P.E., Director of Public Works
March 9, 2017
List of Chairs and Photos
By Minute Motion, declare chairs as surplus and authorize disposal
as proposed.
Strategic Plan Objective
Surplus of broken and/or unusable office equipment has no impact on the Strategic
Plan.
Background
The chairs on the attached list are surplus and are no longer needed. The coverings on
the arms are torn and the adjustment mechanisms are broken; therefore, they are
considered non-functional. Since they are no longer needed, staff recommends that all
the chairs be scrapped.
1. North Wing Conference Room Chairs (8) — The covering on the arms are torn
and the adjustment mechanisms are broken.
2. Public Works Conference Room Chairs (2) - The covering on the arm is torn and
the adjustment mechanism is broken.
3. Miscellaneous Task Chairs (2) — These are a variety of task chairs that are
broken and/or worn out and no longer needed.
