By Minute Motion, authorize the Desert Willow Golf Resort to purchase
fertilizer products from Crop Production Services of San Jacinto,
California, for the Desert Willow Golf Resort in the amount of $174,231,75
Funds are available in Course and Grounds Expenses, Account No.. 0419 -480100,
Strategic Plan Objective
On-going maintenance of the Desert Willow.Golf Resort's golf courses sustains one of
the. Dity's..premirrecreational facilities. By preserving and enhancing this faci[ity,.the
City furthers its goals of continuing the high quality of Fife that our residents and visitors
expect, and providing recreational. and exercise opportunities pervasive in all public
spaces;
Background
As part of.the. Fiscal Year 017118 budget, Desert Willow has included the anticipated
costs for fertilizer in their Course and:Ground budget..
On.June 17 and 24, 2017,.the Notice Inviting Sealed Bids for the fertilizer products for
the Desert Willow Golf Resort was published in The Desert Sun.. The specifications
incorporated the solid, liquid, and soluble fertilizer needs of'the Desert Willow Golf
Resort.

The bids were opened and read out loud on Friday, June 9,.' 017., Only one bid was
received from Crop Production: Services (CPS), which is the current provider. Last
fiscal year's ]o bid was for. the amount of 182,345.04. The. Desert Willow golf course
superintendent is responsible for the determination of the application and use of the
fertilizers.. He has reviewed•the bid documents and its product data sheets, and has
indicated that they meet the requirements of the golf course.
Fiscal Analysis
This.purchase has no fiscal impact beyond the purchase amount.

of the Desert Willow Golf Resort will be based solely on the actual products purchased.
The. Dcscrt Willow Golf Resort reserve the right to purchase additional quantities of
