City Council directed that a targeted solicitation for applicants be conducted, which occurred February 12-26, 2016. Applicant Interviews have been scheduled for Friday, April 8, following the deadline for submission of this agenda item. Once they are conducted and City Councilmembers have an opportunity to provide their choices to the City Clerk for tabulation, an updated report indicating the recommendation for appointment/reappointment will be distributed for the April 14, 2016, agenda packets. The current vacancy is for a term that would begin immediately upon appointment and runs through December 31, 2017.
