By Minute Motion: Approve reimbursement for City Manager candidate
travel expenses in an amount not to exceed $750 per person.
Appropriate $3,000 from the Unobligated General Fund to Account
No. 1104154-4309000 for this purpose.
Executive Summarv:
At its July 14, 2016, meeting the Council reviewed applications for the
position of City Manager and selected eight candidates to interview. It is a
common practice to reimburse candidates for executive positions traveling
from outside the area for reasonable expenses, such as airfare and hotel.
Staff recommends approval of reimbursement to selected candidates
provided the following criteria are met:
Total amount of reimbursement not to exceed $750 per person;
Reimbursement for airfare, hotel and ground transportation only (no
meals);
Receipts must be provided to substantiate requested amounts.

Fiscal Analysis:
It is estimated that up to three or four candidates may request reimbursement
therefore staff requests an appropriation of $3,000 from the Unobligated General
Fund to Account No. 1104154-4309000 for this purpose.
