HomeMy WebLinkAboutPresentation - TNV Towing DayWhereas, Alberto and Veronica De La Torre have owned
and operated TNV Towing serving the City of Palm Desert and
the Coachella Valley for many years; and
Whereas, TNV Towing and the City of Palm Desert have
been in a contract since 1994 for the removal of abandoned,
wrecked and inoperable vehicles from the City; and
Whereas, for many years the City has been calling upon
TNV Towing for assistance with relocating vehicles left upon
City streets that interfere with the City's special events such as
the annual Golf Cart Parade, the 5K Turkey Trot along with
several other annual events; and
Whereas, TNV responds to the City's request without
any hesitation to assist with the relocation of such vehicles
obstructing the City streets during these annual events; and
Whereas, the owners of TNV Towing continue to decline
request from staff to submit billing for their services rendered to
the City during these annual events, only to respond by
expressing "this is our way of giving back to the community."
Now, Therefore, I, Susan Marie Weber, Mayor of
the City of Palm Desert, California, Along With the Entire City
Council, Do Hereby Proclaim Thursday, February 12th, 2015, as
TNV Towing Day
in the City of Palm Desert and urge all residents to join me in
expressing our appreciation for their contributions and service
to our community, with our best wishes for many years of
continued success in the future.
In Witness Whereof, I have hereunto
set my hand and have caused the
Official Seal of the City of Palm
Desert, California, to be affixed this
12`h day of February, 2015.
