Background The vehicles, equipment and miscellaneous items on the attached list are surplus, non- operational or are no longer needed. The following recommendation is made for disposal: Items 1 through 5 Vehicle No. 53, 2000 F-150 CNG license plate No.1076381, vehicle No. 54, 2000 F-150 CNG license plate No. 1072030, vehicle No. 55, 2000 CNG F-150 license plate No. 1072036, vehicle No. 56, 2000 F-150 license plate No. 1072029 and vehicle No. 57, 2001 F-150 CNG license No. 1109186; have expired CNG tanks. It is recommended to surplus and auction these vehicles. Item 6 These two old propane tanks were removed from vehicle No. 341. Due to significant issues with the propane system, vehicle No. 341 was converted back to unleaded fuel. It is recommended to surplus these tanks and attempt to auction. If not sold in auction, it recommended to scrap as metal. Staff Report Surplus Vehicles, Equipment and Miscellaneous Items Page 2 of 2 February 26, 2015 Item 7 This air compressor was at Fire Station No. 71 located on Country Club Drive and Portola Avenue. The integrity of the compressor's air tank did not pass the inspection conducted by the State of California. It is recommended that the failed tank be scrapped and the compressor unit be auctioned. Items 8 and 9 These items are old signal arm poles, signal heads and signal cabinets. They are no longer needed. It is recommended to surplus and scrap as metal. Fiscal Analysis Approval of this request will generate funds that will go back into the City's general fund.
