By Minute Motion: 1. Approve Change Order No. 1 to increase Contract No. C33310 with Mariposa Landscapes, Inc., for Landscape Maintenance Area 9 in the amount of $2,952; and 2. Authorize the Mayor to execute the Change Order. Funds are available in the Account No. 110-4614-453-3370, R/M Medians. Background On April 24, 2014, City Council awarded Contract No. C33310 for Landscape Maintenance Area 9 to Mariposa Landscapes, Inc.. This is a two year contract that commenced on July 1, 2014, in the amount of $360,984 or $180,492 per year. In January of 2015, staff replaced all the trash cans on El Paseo with dual trash/recycle receptacles. Mariposa stated that servicing the new receptacles required additional labor. Staff asked them to track the amount spent to service the receptacles three days a week in order to determine if an increase to the contract was justifiable. After a few weeks, staff determined that the receptacles do require additional labor and asked Mariposa to submit a quote. Please let me know what do you think. Please contact me with any questions or comments regarding this Email. Thank You Andres Perez - Account Manager
