CITY OF PALM DESERT
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT
INTEROFFICE MEMORANDUM
To: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers
From: Ryan Stendell, Director of Community Development
Date: June 29, 2018
Subject: Study Session: CV Link Design
The upcoming Study Session (July 10 at 9:00 a.m.) is an opportunity for City staff to
present the CV Link project and related actions needed to move the project forward. Staff
intends to present this information largely in order of the action items listed in the CV Link
staff report dated July 12, 2018. For this reason, staff would recommend Councilmembers
bring the exhibits that are appended to the report found in the City Council packet.
The main consideration for the City Council to make at this time is whether to proceed
with the originally contemplated or enhanced design improvements for the CV Link
project. Staff will spend the majority of the presentation on design aspects, followed by a
brief presentation on how CV Link and San Pablo Avenue projects interface.
If there are any questions, comments, or concerns leading up to the July 10, 2018, Study
Session.
RYAN STENDELL
DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
