A. MINUTES of the Housing Authority Meeting of January 14, 2016.

B. CLAIMS AND DEMANDS AGAINST THE CITY/HOUSING TREASURIES -
Warrant Dated 1/15/2016 (Joint Consideration with the Palm Desert City
Council).
Rec: Approve as presented.
C. REQUEST FOR AUTHORIZATION to Award Contract to T. J. Janca
Construction, Inc., in a Total Amount Not to Exceed $19,674 to Replace the
Playground Surface at One Quail Place Apartments (Contract No. HA34990).
Rec: By Minute Motion: 1) Authorize award of the subject contract to T. J.
Janca Construction, Inc., Orange, California, in a total amount not to
exceed $19,674 (includes: proposed work in the amount of $17,885,
plus 10% contingency in the amount of $1,789 for unforeseen
conditions) to re-cap with a minimum 1½” poured-in-place rubber
surfacing system over existing shock pad at One Quail Place,
pursuant to Section 3.32.090 of the Palm Desert Municipal Code;
2) authorize Palm Desert Housing Authority’s Legal Counsel to
negotiate and finalize an agreement with T. J. Janca Construction,
Inc.; 3) find that the materials and contractual services by their very
nature are unique; 4) authorize the Executive Director to review and
approve written requests for use of the contingency for unforeseen
conditions; 5) authorize the Palm Desert Housing Authority Chairman
and/or the Executive Director to execute the agreement and any
documents necessary to effectuate the actions taken herewith –
monies have been included in the FY 2015-2016 Palm Desert
Housing Authority’s Operating Budget, in the appropriate Authority
Accounts.

Any person wishing to discuss any item not scheduled for public hearing may address the
City Council, Successor Agency to the Palm Desert Redevelopment Agency, or Housing
Authority Boards at this point by stepping to the lectern and giving his/her name and
address for the record. Remarks shall be limited to a maximum of three minutes unless
additional time is authorized by the City Council, Successor Agency to the Palm Desert
Redevelopment Agency, or Housing Authority Boards. Because the Brown Act does not
allow the City Council, Successor Agency to the Palm Desert Redevelopment Agency, or
Housing Authority Boards to take action on items not on the Agenda, members will not enter
into discussion with speakers but may briefly respond or instead refer the matter to staff for
report and recommendation at a future City Council, Successor Agency to the Palm Desert
Redevelopment Agency, or Housing Authority meeting.
XIV. ADJOURNMENT
I hereby certify, under penalty of perjury under the laws of the State of California, that the foregoing
agenda for the Palm Desert Housing Authority was posted on the City Hall bulletin board not less
