HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 1385ORDINANCE NO. 1385 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM DESERT, CALIFORNIA, RESCINDING ORDINANCE NUMBER 1266A, AND AMENDING SECTION 10.36.010 OF TITLE 10 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF PALM DESERT, CALIFORNIA, RELATIVE TO SPEED ZONES WHEREAS, the California Vehicle Code allows local jurisdictions to establish speed zones on local streets by use of an Engineering and Traffic Survey; and WHEREAS, an Engineering and Traffic Survey, as required, has been conducted and the need to establish a speed zone has been determined; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Palm Desert finds that all the recitations are true and correct and does constitute the findings and considerations of the Council in this case. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM DESERT DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That Section 10.36.010 of the Code of the City of Palm Desert, California, is hereby amended to read as follows: “10.36.010 Speed Zones: Miles per Hour Roadway Segment 35 Magnesia Falls Drive from Monterey Avenue to Portola Avenue 35 Magnesia Falls Drive from Portola Avenue to Deep Canyon Road 45 Park View Drive from Highway 111 to Monterey Avenue 25 San Pablo Avenue from Magnesia Falls Drive to Fred Waring Drive SECTION 2. That Ordinance Number 1266A is rescinded. SECTION 3. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish this ordinance in the Desert Sun, a newspaper of general circulation, circulated in the City of Palm Desert, California, and shall be in full force and effective thirty (30) days after its adoption.
