Vice Chair Taylor moved to, by Minute Motion, receive and file the items of
the consent calendar. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Alley and
carried by a 6-0 vote (AYES: Alley, Bindman, Butts, Cross, Taylor, Luhring;
NAES: None; ABSENT: Kramer, Reynar).
VI. CONSENT ITEMS HELD OVER
D. CODE COMPLIANCE Weekend Reports for September 2021.
Vice Chair Taylor moved to, by Minute Motion, receive and file the item D of
the consent calendar. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Cross and
carried by a 5-0 vote (AYES: Alley, Bindman, Butts, Cross, Luhring; NAES:
None; ABSENT: Kramer, Reynar; ABSTAIN: Taylor).
VII. NEW BUSINESS
A. Designation of a City of Palm Desert Homelessness Task Force
Representative.

Vice Chair Taylor moved to, by Minute Motion, move this item to the
November 10, 2021 meeting agenda. Motion was seconded by
Commissioner Cross and carried by a 6-0 vote (AYES: Alley, Bindman,
Butts, Cross, Taylor, Luhring; NAES: None; ABSENT: Kramer, Reynar).
B. Informational Report on Shared Police Services Contract Feasibility
Studies.
Commissioner Alley moved to, by Minute Motion, receive and file the
Informational Report on Shared Police Services Contract Feasibility
Studies. Motion was seconded by Vice Chair Taylor and carried by a 6-0
vote (AYES: Alley, Bindman, Butts, Cross, Taylor, Luhring; NAES: None;
ABSENT: Kramer, Reynar).
C. Informational Report on the Citizens Option for Public
Safety/Supplemental Law Enforcement Services Fund (COPS/SLESF).
Commissioner Alley moved to, by Minute Motion, receive and file the
Informational Report on Shared Police Services Contract Feasibility
Studies. Motion was seconded by Commissioner Butts and carried by a 6-0
vote (AYES: Alley, Bindman, Butts, Cross, Taylor, Luhring; NAES: None;
ABSENT: Kramer, Reynar).
