NATURE OF PROJECT/APPROVAL SOUGHT: Preliminary approval of church facilities. LOCATION: East side of Portola, north of Country Club. ZONE: PR-5 Commissioner Martin felt that this building did not appear to be a church and that there should be some redesign. The applicant indicated that this building was temporary and would be used for approximately three to five years. Chairman Gregory suggested that a good landscape plan be prepared. Commissioner Martin thought that there should be lush growth around the temporary building. Applicant submitted photos of the proposed building and indicated that once their sanctuary was built the temporary would be removed. Mr. Weller noted that the temporary building has to be handicap accessible and advised the applicant to speak with the building department for further information. It was moved by Commissioner Martin, seconded by Commissioner McCrea to continue this case with the recommendation to seek professional assistance with a landscape plan. Carried 3-0 V.
