III. CONSENT ITEMS
A. Approval of the Minutes and Financial Statements of the El
Paseo Parking & Business Improvement District Regular
Meeting of February 18, 2021.
Rec: Approved
A motion was made by Campbell and seconded by Stauber to accept and
approve. Motion passed with a 6-0-1 vote; with Campbell, Stauber,
Goldberg, Klein, Flaig-Moore, & Fletcher Voting in favor. None against.
Stein abstained.
IV. PARTNER UPDATES
A. Hotel Paseo, introduction of new GM — Mr. Murray was not in
attendance.
City of Palm Desert — Presented by Kevin Swartz.
Crosswalks - Addition of two raised crosswalks & removal of color
crosswalks. Will follow up with formal presentation regarding Lupine
Plaza & dining decks.
EPPBID Board: Street Updates
Mr. Klein shared Cruise night is coming back & shared a reminder
Sundance & Rebecca Taylor will be opening at the Village in the Fourth
Quarter. Also, the Fidelity office space was leased to another Wealth
Management Company projected to open on April 15th
Mr. Fletcher announced exciting things happening in the first couple of
blocks of El Paseo. Sea side has closed due to health issues.
V. NEW BUSINESS
A. Retainer/Strategic Planning
i. February report (report sent prior to meeting)— Presented by
Stephanie Greene, CV Strategies
Ms. Greene discussed the positive numbers for the current
marketing. The challenges we've faced have affected El Paseo and
continue to look at the goals and options for spring and summer.
Ms. Greene shared several things that have been done since the
start of the fiscal year, new photography, branded campaign, added
Desert X program, and continue with billboards and the monthly
online Digital Campaign ads thru partnership with Palm Springs Life.

The Shop El Paseo Website has been completely updated.
ii. Partner Updates — Presented by Stephanie Green, CV Strategies;
Dawn McCoy, Dawn McCoy Media; Paulina Larson, Palm Springs
Life
Ms. Greene shared the advertising part of Palm Springs Life
Magazine reported, noting that during a seven -month campaign
period they had achieved 326 % of their goals in month four.
The El Paseo monthly newsletter is doing very well with an open rate
of 33.8%.
Paulina Larson, explained February highlights for the website, traffic
has increased 20 % across the entire site.
Ms. Greene and Ms. McCoy presented the increase numbers for
social media, the overall audience grew by 10%, 500 on Facebook.
The total reached is up by 8% and engagement increased by 5 %.
Step Up to the Table had good hits this month. Instagram had a 5
increase in followers, 13 % increase in impressions.
Database Growth Strategies: Ms. Green shared the Facebook Merchant
Group increased by two people. 2/29 Zoom Forum Recap had a great
outcome with about 30 attendees.
Budget Planning Session - Board discussed a budget planning session
to be schedule in two parts. First part is schedule for next board meeting
April 15th
YMCA Sponsorship event — Presented by Dallas Williams.
Mr. Williams presented an Easter Egg Hunt Event, which will consist
of placing large Easter Eggs along El Paseo. Families will then take a
picture with the hashtag #shopelpaseo. The event will take place on
April 3rd. from 10 a.m. — Noon. Mr. Williams is looking for support in
the amount of $2,500.00, board discussed to work with merchants to
encourage them to sponsor the event.
VI. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS
Deja Kreutzberq — Gardens on El Paseo/EI Paseo Village - announced
there will be a harvest festival planned for October 30th, from 12:00 — 6:00
p.m. there will be live bands, pumpkins, etc.

VII. REMARKS
A. City of Palm Desert.
Thomas Soule, City of Palm Desert - Announced Jim Doyle is retiring from
Palm Springs Life and this will be his last meeting with El Paseo board.
Board members thanked him for his service.
Presidents Plaza Update: Selected a contractor and they are getting the
project underway. Working on a virtual ground -breaking, more information
to follow.
