efforts by Palm Springs Life to promote El Paseo, including Fashion Week
El Paseo, Palm Desert Food & Wine, and A Taste of El Paseo. Both the El
Paseo catalog and directory have been printed and distributed. A Taste of
El Paseo was successful and promises to grow in the future. The Board
agreed on the week of April 20 as a tentative time for the next iteration,
and supported naming The Living Desert the benefiting charity, should the
zoo be agreeable.

progress with several of the projects approved as part of the mid -year
budget adjustment, including Happy Hopping, the online digital campaign
and the billboard program. She also gave a recap of the Holiday Wish List
promotion in conjunction with Hotel Paseo that was pulled together in
December. The Board expressed approval of how that promotion was
executed, and gave direction for FG Creative to work on a similar

promotion for Valentine's Day if Hotel Paseo was willing.
Overall Budget
Ms. Greene presented a recommendation from Ms. Stauber and Mr. Flaig-
Moore that the Board support The Living Desert with an ad in its 50th
Anniversary Gala Program. The Board was supportive of this idea, and Ms.
Stein suggested that the ad be used to invite people to further support the
zoo by participating in A Taste of El Paseo, which the Board hopes will
benefit The Living Desert. The cost of the ad is $1,000, which is currently
not in the budget.
A motion was made by Campbell and seconded by Satuber to purchase
the ad in the Living Desert Gala Program, provided funds within the existing
