The purpose of our review was to determine the adequacy of the existing structure to support the proposed installation of solar panels as well as the attachment of solar panel to the existing framing. After review, we concluded that the existing structure is adequate to support the proposed solar panel installation. Gravity load increase did not exceed 5% and therefore, this install meets the prescriptive compliance requirements of the applicable IEBC. Structural evalution were done in accordance with applicable building codes and considering design criteria below: Design Criteria Code2022 California Building Code (ASCE 7-16) Risk categoryIIWind Load(component and Cladding) Roof Dead LoadDr15psfV130mph PV Dead LoadDPV3psfExposureC Roof Live LoadLr20psf Ground Snow S0psf If you have any questions on the above, please do not hesitate to call. Limits of Scope of Work and Liability The Existing structure is assumed to have been designed and constructed following appropriate codes and to have appropriate permits. The analysis was according to applicable building codes, professional engineering and design experience, opinions and judgments. This evalution produced for this structure's assessment is only for the proposed solar panel installation referenced in the stamped plan set and were made according to generally recognized structural analysis standards and procedures. Prior to commencement of work, the contractor shall verify the framing sizes, spacings, and spans. Contractor shall also verify that there is framing damage or deficiencies. If observed, the EOR must be notified before install. projects@evengineersnet.com http://www.evengineersnet.com Article 220 - Service/Feeder calculation for (address): Job Code 104 AZZURO DR, PALM DESERT, CA 92211113R-104COOP Section 220.83 Existing Dwelling Unit Part #1 - Section 220.83 (B)(1) General Lighting/Receptacles @ 3 VA per sq ft: BuildingSquare FootageVA (watts)Amps House3210963040.125 AmpsBox A (VA) Total for Part #1: 40.13 9630 Part #2 - Section 220.83 (B)(2),(3)a, b, c, d - Appliances and Dedicated Circuits: Dedicated circuitSize in VADedicated circuitSize in VA Laundry1500Water HeaterN/A Appliance Circuit(s)3000SUB 11520 Dishwasher(s)1000N/A Disposal(s)600N/A Refrigerator(s)1000N/A Microwave(s)1600N/A DryerN/AN/A RangeN/AN/A Oven9600N/A CooktopN/A AmpsBox B (VA) Totals for Part #2: Pool Equipment7680156.25 37500 Box A + Box B =47130 Total VA from Parts #1 and #2 combined: Total VA 47130 First 8,000 VA @ 100%8000 Remaining VA @ 40% Remaining VA =39130 39130x 40% =15652 VA Adding First 8000 VA 8000 VA Total VA for Gen.
