XI. REPORTS AND REMARKS
A. STAFF
1. Status Report Memo
- Member Donna Jean Darby
- Hazy Palms Update
- Document Film Series
- Renaming the Committee
- San Pablo Public Art Plan Study Session
Ms. Lawrence referred to the Status Report Memo that was
included in the agenda packet and asked if there were any
questions regarding the items in the report.
Chair Boren thanked Member Darby for her numerous years
of service with the Art in Public Places Commission/Cultural
Arts Committee as well as her involvement in Palm Desert.
Staff is reviewing the names of all City Committees and
Commissions to ensure consistency with naming based on
their respective functions. She noted that a Commission
works more independently and it is able to approve items
that do not need to move forward for the City Council’s
approval. Committees function more in an advisory capacity
and most of their actions require the City Council’s approval.
The San Pablo Public Art Plan Study Session will be held on
Monday, January 24 at 9:00 a.m. via Zoom. Staff will send
out the Zoom link a week prior to the meeting as well as the
San Pablo Public Art Plan report.
