PUBLIC HEARING – 72806 BURSERA WAY (CHARLES DU BOIS HOME) CASE NO. CRPC 22-03. X. REQUEST FOR APPROVAL OF LOCAL LANDMARK DESIGNATION FOR 72806 BURSERA WAY (APN 628-102-012) (CHARLES DU BOIS HOME) AS A LOCAL HISTORIC LANDMARK DESIGNATION FOR CITY COUNCIL APPROVAL. 1) Open the public hearing and accept testimony supporting or opposing the landmark designation for 72806 Bursera Way, in the City of Palm Desert; following public testimony, close the public hearing. 2) Authorize staff to prepare a resolution approving local historic landmark designation for property located at 72806 Bursera Way, Assessor’s Parcel No. 628-102-012 for City Council consideration. Committee Chair Paul Clark declared the public hearing open and invited public testimony. Committee members would like the applicant to resubmit their application and follow the order of the application. With no further testimony offered, Chair Paul Clark declared the public hearing closed. Motion was made by Committee Chair Paul Clark to close the public hearing and continue to a later date. Committee Member Kim Housken seconded the motion. Motion carried by 4-0 vote (AYES: Clark, Housken, Mortensen, and McCune; NOES: No; ABSENT: David Toltzmann, Don Graybill, Yvonne Bell) XI. REPORTS AND REMARKS
Committee Member Rochelle stated that on July 7, 2022, the Historical Society of
Palm Desert will be hosting movie night. They digitized Clifford Henderson’s home
movies and will be showing them to members to help identify the houses. From
5:30pm – 7:30pm and you can sit and watch historic houses of Palm Desert being
built. It will only be shown live in person because it will be 100 films.
