Catering Kitchen 9 • Frequently Asked Questions at The View Q How is the Community Center funded? f lilt A The Construction of the Community Center is funded by al/2 cent sales tax ---- approved by Grandview voters in 2001 and receives no funds from the property taxes paid by the citizens of Grandview. Q The membership and program fees have a Resident and Non-Resident fee. What is the definition of a Resident versus a Non-Resident? A To qualify for the Resident Membership rate you must live within the Grandview city limits and have a Grandview address and zip code. Q What is the definition of a family in order to receive the family member- ship rate? A A family is defined as up to 2 adults and 2 children (under 21 years) liv- ing in the same household and claimed on income taxes. Q What Community Center amenities does the membership fee include? A The membership fee includes the fitness area (cardiovascular and weight room equipment), the suspended walk/jog track, indoor swimming pool dur- ing open swim times, gymnasium during open gym times, the rock climbing wall during specified times. No discount is given to members for the recre- ational classes, room rentals or party packages. Members will receive a dis- count on indentified fitness classes. Q What is the Community Center refund or cancellation policy? A If a class is cancelled by the Community Center, a full refund will be given. Should a member be dissatisfied with a class, a prorated refund will be given, but this must be addressed prior to the end of the enrolled class. Refunds will not be granted in the event of a participant illness or absence, without a doctor's notice, or after a class has ended. Q Will the Community Center be providing towels and locks for lockers? A No, the Community Center will not be providing towels or locks. You will need to bring a towel and lock from home, which must be removed daily. Locks may be purchased at the center.
