RESOLUTION NO. 91-134 DEP2 BENT OF COMMUNITY DEVELOP T
TRANSMITTAL LETTER /
TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council
FROM: Frank Allen, Director of Code Compliance
DATE: December 12, 1991
SUBJECT: Resolution Assessing a Business License Tax Fee to Section
5.06.010 Category "J. "
A. DISCUSSION:
Staff submitted an ordinance recommending that category "J" be
added to section 5.06.010 of the municipal code pertaining to
vendors at art fairs, street fairs, swap meets and similar events.
It will be necessary to establish a new business license tax fee
by resolution for the new category.
July of 1984 council adopted Resolution No. 83-73 establishing the
fee schedule for the current categories in Chapter 5.06.
B. RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends city council approve the business license tax fee
for category "J" as shown in the resolution. Currently, 367
vendors are licensed at the C.O.D. Street Fair at $60 per vendor.
The total revenue from this source is $22,020. Affirming the fee •
schedule in the resolution would produce $352, 320 from the same
number of vendors.
