HomeMy WebLinkAboutCable Complaints September 20 1995 - October 17 1995 INTEROFFICE MEMORANDUM
CITY OF PALM DESERT
TO: HONORABLE MAYOR, MEMBERS OF CITY COUNCIL AND CITY MANAGER
FROM: RAY L. JANES, MANAGEMENT ANALYST II
SUBJECT: CABLE COMPLAINTS RECEIVED FROM SEPTEMBER 20, 1995, THROUGH
OCTOBER 17, 1995
DATE: OCTOBER 26, 1995
There were (2) two cable inquiries received from Palm Desert residents for the period of September 20,
1995, through October 17, 1995.
1. Jacquis Roberts
38-530 Fawnsprings Drive
Palm Desert, CA 92260
Mr. Roberts has continued to get billed by Colony even though his complex (Palm Desert Greens)
switched to Total T.V.
ACTION: Esther Killion from Colony Cablevision stated that it was each resident's responsibility
to contact their company to discontinue service when their home was activated by Total T.V.
However, Colony will provide a year's credit to Mr. Roberts.
2. Phil Netley
44-112 Acacia
Palm Desert, CA 92260
Mr. Netley was calling to complain about his phone services being disconnected due to the new
lines being installed in his neighborhood. He contacted Colony Cablevision, and they were rude.
The service was bad. Colony Cablevision stated his phone service will not be reconnected until
tomorrow.
ACTION: I contacted Esther Killion from Colony Cablevision who confirmed that Continental
restored Mr. Netley's phone service by Monday evening. He will also receive a one month credit
for the inconvenience. Also, Continental Cablevision was working on the fiber optic rebuild in Mr.
Netley's neighborhood, and accidentally disconnected his phone line.
Respectfully submitted,
