WILLOW CLUBHOUSE
RECOMMENDATION:
By minute motion,request that the City Council authorize an easement to Southern California
Edison(SCE)for services provided to the clubhouse and the Desert Willow Resort..
BACKGROUND:
Staff has been working with SCE to provide for services to the Desert Willow clubhouse.
Electrical service has been established and the clubhouse is under full power. SCE installed a
loop system that provided for service to the circle road and will ultimately be complete when the
hotel pads are developed. Normally, SCE waits until the easement is granted before such
services are developed, however, in our case,they proceeded with the promise that we would
recommend this easement to the City Council.

Mr. Yrigoryen:
Southern California Edison Company (Edison) has retained MARMAC to acquire rights
of way to install Edison's electric distribution facilities.
In response to your request for electric service, we will need an easement to permit the
construction and maintenance of electric facilities to 38995 Desert Willow Drive in Palm
Desert. The enclosed assessor parcel map shows the location of the proposed facilities.
You will find enclosed an original and one copy of a Grant of Easement. Please have the
original Grant of Easement executed, have the signatures notarized, and return to me in
the envelope provided. Failure to return the signed and notarized easement to this office
will delay the scheduling of your facility installation. The maps and copy of the
easement are for your files.
