the City of Palm Desert will be recognized as an event sponsor on all event publicity and materials.

Ladies and Gentlemen;
Would you please consider waiving normally applicable fees associated
with the Desert Rose Society, a non-profit organization, in order for it to
conduct the annual public demonstration of rose pruning in the rose garden
of the City of Palm Desert Community Park on Saturday, January 15, 2000
from 9:00 am until completion (expected to be approximately 12:00 noon).
In the course of this demonstration, all rose plants will be pruned.
Further, the rose trimmings will be cast outside the garden, and perhaps a
maintenance person should be on hand to remove the cuttings. I think that
would remove any possibility for an unforeseen accident involving an adult
or child being injured by the cuttings through an unforeseen accident.
If I can provide additional information or take suggested additional safety
steps, please do not hesitate to call me.
Very truly ours,
&Lk.
