RE: Cove Communities Fire Commission Amendment No. 4
Dear Bruce,
As I indicated to you earlier, on September 3, 1992 the Rancho Mirage City Council
reviewed and approved the 4th Amendment to the Joint Powers Agreement of the Cove
Community Fire Commission. Their approval included language changes as you and I
had previously discussed. Enclosed you will find five copies of original agreements with
exhibits executed by the City of Rancho Mirage.
Also enclosed you will find one copy of the amended agreement that shows the language
changes highlighted in gray. This document is not to be executed and is included for
your ease in reviewing where the language changes occurred.
The cities of Palm Desert and Indian Wells both had previously executed the 4th
Amendment prior to these changes. Please have your city execute the five new originals
where indicated and forward them to the City of Indian Wells for their execution. The
original document was drafted by Indian Wells' contract attorney, Rutan and Tucker, and
with these modifications, I placed the entire Amendment No. 4 into our word processing
system.
