SUBJECT: PALMER CABLEVISION STATION LOCATION CHANGE
Recommendation:
That the City Council approve a new Exhibit to our Franchise
Agreement regarding station location changes for TNT, Showtime, The
Disney Channel, CNN Headline News, and The Discovery Channel .
Background:
Palmer CableVision has formally requested that TNT move from
Channel 28 to 21 , Showtime from Channel 21 to 25 , The Disney
Channel from Channel 24 to 32 , CNN Headline News from Channel 32 to
24 , and The Discovery Channel from Channel 25 to 28 .
These changes will have absolutely no effect on either the current
pricing or packaging structure. Palmer also launched an aggressive
marketing campaign on May 15 to help inform their customers of
these changes .
