Recommendation: 1 . Establish signing of routes identified on maps within city limits. 2. Work with other agencies to establish signing of routes outside city limits. II. Background: At the November 18 meeting, Council requested consideration of permanent signage of bicycle course for upcoming events at the Senior Center. Staff has previously prepared bike loop maps for visitors and residents and has prepared a supplemental map showing a larger 40-mile loop in addition to a smaller loop that was also shown on the initial map. For at least the past two decades, these routes have been referred to by the local cyclists as the "big" and "little loops." Since most of these routes are located in "county jurisdiction" and Cathedral City, coordination with these agencies will be necessary.
