We would like to reserve the golf cart recharging area, a portion of the adjacent grass area and the parking spaces immediately facing the area(see attached map). The event set up will begin at 6:00 am and conclude at 2:00 pm. The Tour de Cure is a signature fundraising event for the American Diabetes Association with proceeds designated to research, education and outreach in our communities. We would, therefore, like to request that the park facility fees be waived. We realize this requires approval by the City of Palm Desert. Additionally, outlined below are the specific uses of the area we request: 1. Golf cart recharging area to be used for registration and food/beverage distribution. 2. Adjacent lawn area to be used for rider staging and booth (information only) set up. 3. Parking area to be used for parking for participants. Thank you for your assistance in securing the site for our event. We look forward to hearing from you upon conformation of fee waiver. The ADA and its sponsors and volunteers will adhere to any and all regulations set by your department. If you have any questions, please feel free to call me at (909) 645-7405.
