The investigation and handling of this claim has been assigned to me.
Does the City own and/or maintain the roadway and bike lane? YES
If so, please provide copies of all historical inspection and
maintenance records and photographs. No historical records responsive
to the request were found.
If the City doesn’t own and/or maintain the bike lane, who does?
Does this section of bike lane have a documented history of complaints?
No records of complaints were found.
If so, please provide copies of all records regarding same.
Does the City have a formal bike lane inspection program? The City
does not have a formal bike lane inspection program.
If so, please provide a copy of it.
Does the Department have plans to make any changes to the bike lane?
Two service requests were created resulting in the repairs. Refer to
the attached reports from the work order system.
What is the street lane width and the speed limit at the loss location?
The lane widths are approximately as follows: northbound #1 – 12 feet;
northbound #2 – 11 feet; northbound bike lane – 7 feet; center turn lane
– 11 feet; southbound #1 – 12 feet; southbound #2 – 12 feet; southbound
right turn lane – 9 feet. The posted speed limit is 50 MPH.
Any prior notice, complaints or losses involving this location? No
records were found.
Are the As Built plans for the bike lane available? No.
Provided copy of any scene inspections along with photographs that may
have been taken. Refer to photos in the two attached reports.
Please forward a copy of any Traffic Collision Report that may have
been completed. Please obtain traffic collision report from Police.
