HomeMy WebLinkAboutNorth Palm Desert Park GrantGood evening Jim, I hope you had a lovely holiday season and Happy New Year! I would like to provide you with an update on our progress over the past quarter and submit our first reimbursement request. This fall City staff became aware of an additional requirement of the Millenium Specific Plan, under which the park was planned. It required a 75-foot landscape buffer between the homes on Dinah Shore and any active use areas of the park. Our planning team revised the conceptual design, and the final iteration was presented to the City Council on 12/14/23 for approval. The Council unanimously approved. The attached staff report for that item also included a budget estimate for construction of the park. In 2024 we will be moving forward with engineering and development of 100% design plans. We anticipate those to be ready to bid for construction in the Fall 2024 so that construction may begin in December 2024/January 2025. You can see the presentation and approved conceptual plan by clicking here <https://egovpublic.s3.us-west-2.amazonaws.com/20231214+-+Schematic+Design+Presentation_City+Council+(1).pdf> . Our first request for reimbursement and supporting documentation is attached. Please let me know if there is any additional information I can provide.
