HomeMy WebLinkAboutHousing DevelopmentsHello Joe, Here is a map of recently approved housing projects I made back in June for Anthony. Generally, the only new housing development within the IID service area is the Gerald Ford apartments which is currently under construction. Other vacant parcels within this area are zoned Service Industrial (SI) with an Employment general plan land use designation. These designations do not outright allow for housing, but it may be possible. A large portion of the University Campus is within the IID service area. Their master plan is generally open ended but envisions approximately 616 new beds in student residence halls. Their EIR is generally silent on electrical facilities required for the future expansion. Their Utilities master plan (attached for reference) references that power is provided by "Southern California", which I assume is a typo and intended to mean SoCal Edison and includes a summary of existing utilities and future projected electricity needs. Here is a link to their master plan webpage: https://www.csusb.edu/master-plan/palm-desert-campus I would be happy to sit down with you to discuss the zoning within that area and how it may facilitate housing development. . .
