RE: City of Palm Desert: Funding for a Mobile Crisis Response Unit in Palm Desert
To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing in support of the City of Palm Desert’s application for Community Project Funding to create a mobile crisis response unit for the City. We support the City’s efforts to
provide direct, targeted emergency resources to our community members most in need through a new Mobile Crisis Response Unit that will focus on de-escalation tactics, targeted and trained
response to mental health crises, and ensure that our community members are able to be connected to the services they need. This project will make great strides within our community
to address crisis situations, substance use issues, homelessness, and mental health in Palm Desert and the Coachella Valley.
For these reasons, County of Riverside Fire Department is proud to support the City of Palm Desert application to the GRANT PROGRAM. For any additional information please feel free to
contact my office at 951-591-9769.
Sincerely,
Mike Beverlin
