RE: City of Palm Desert: Funding for Critical Bridge Infrastructure in Palm Desert
Dear Senator Padilla, Senator Butler, and Congressmember Calvert,
I am writing in support of the City of Palm Desert’s application for Community Project Funding to support their bridge prioritization program and provide critical maintenance to vital
bridges within our community. We support the City’s efforts to address and provide targeted infrastructure projects that prevent infrastructure degradation and ensure our community
members have safe, viable means of transportation throughout the Coachella Valley. These projects are also critical to ensure that during extreme storm and flooding events, which occur
ever more frequently in our region, our residents are able to safely traverse washes and other floodplain or blowsand areas.
This project will fund a critical need in our community and provide much needed funding for our infrastructure.
