Dear Senator Padilla, Senator Schiff, and Congressman Calvert, I am asking for your support in requesting community project funding for the Highway 111 project in the City of Palm Desert. The total cost of the project is estimated at $4 million, which will cover the necessary infrastructure upgrades, technological enhancements, and other vital improvements to ensure the center is equipped to meet the demands of modern mobility options for the community. The Highway 111 project will run from Highway 74, west to Parkview Drive. Currently under contract for design, the project is scheduled for construction in 2028. This project will improve the highway's infrastructure, enhancing safety and traffic flow for both commuters and residents. It will address current roadway challenges and future transportation needs, contributing to the region's long-term mobility. This project is essential to improving traffic safety and efficiency, as it will address the increasing demand for better infrastructure on Highway 111. By upgrading the roadway, it will support the growing needs of the community, ensuring smoother travel and safer conditions for all road users. Thank you in advance for your consideration.
