HomeMy WebLinkAboutAdvertisementCITY OF PALM DESERT REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS VISION ZERO STRATEGY (ROADWAY SAFETY PLANNING & PUBLIC ENGAGEMENT) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Palm Desert (City), a public agency organized under the laws of the State of California, with its principal place of business at 73-510 Fred Waring Drive, Palm Desert, California 92260, invites proposals for professional engineering and design services to conduct a Palm Desert Vision Zero Strategy (Project), including a Safe Routes to School Plan, Safe Routes for Seniors Plan, Investment Strategy, Dashboard and Monitoring Tools, and a Public Engagement Campaign. The City requests all interested and qualified parties to submit their proposals no later than 12:00 PM on November 2, 2023, through the City's online bid management system (OpenGov Procurement), at www.cityofpalmdesert.org/our-city/bid-and-vendor-oppor tunities. A non-mandatory Pre-Proposal Conference is scheduled for October 12, 2023, at 1:00 PM. The purpose of the meeting is to review the Project. The meeting will take place at Palm Desert City Hall (Administrative Conference Room) 73-510 Fred Waring Drive, Palm Desert, California 92260. The Project is funded through the U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Highway Administration. The City received a Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) grant totaling $970,000 (including $20,000 in City administrative costs) to undertake planning and public engagement efforts to reduce local roadway fatalities and injuries. The City shall select a proposal based upon content, proposer’s experience and performance, team members’ experience and performance, comments by references, and fee proposal. The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any proposals.
