CALL TO ORDER A Regular Meeting of the El Paseo Parking and Business Improvement District B oard was called to order by Chair Elliot on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at 8:17 a.m. in the Administrative Conference Room, City Hall, located at 73-510 Fred Waring Drive, Palm Desert, California. 2. ROLL CALL 3. NON-­AGENDA PUBLIC COMMENTS None. 4. SHERIFF UPDATE Sergeant Nelson provided an update on theft suppression efforts and responded to Board inquiries. 5. CONSENT CALENDAR Motion by: Board Member Fletcher Seconded by: Board Member Islami To approve the consent calendar as presented. Motion Carried (4 to 0) 5.a Approval of Minutes Approve the Minutes of December 18, 2025. 5.b Approval of Financials Approve the financial statements for periods ending October 31 and November 30, 2025. BUSINESS ITEMS 7.a Establish an ad hoc subcommittee to review applications and recommend appointments for two El Paseo Parking and Business Improvement District Board seats. Public Affairs Manager Thomas Soule provided a report and responded to Board inquiries. Motion by: Board Member Rafferty Seconded by: Chair Elliott 1. Establish an ad hoc Membership Subcommittee to review applications and recommend appointments for two El Paseo Parking and Business Improvement District Board vacancies. 2. Appoint Board Members Elliot and Islami to serve on the subcommittee, which shall dissolve upon completion of its assignment. Motion Carried (4 to 0) 8. INFORMATIONAL REPORTS 8.a Marketing Update for December 2025 Paulina Larson, Palm Springs Life, presented information regarding upcoming events and responded to Board inquiries, no action taken. 8.b City Council Liaison Mayor Evan Trubee introduced himself as the new City Council Liaison to the El Paseo Parking and Business Improvement District Board. 8.c City Staff Chris Gerry, Landscape Supervisor, provided an update on the status of the wayfinding signs and median monument upgrades and responded to Board inquiries. Thomas Soule, Public Affairs Manager, provided information regarding the call for artists for the El Paseo Sculpture Exhibition and the Panther 5k scheduled for January 25, 2026. 9. REQUESTS FOR ACTION None. 10. ADJOURNMENT The El Paseo Parking and Business Improvement District Board adjourned at 8:43 a.m. 11.
