PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
CASE NO. CRPC25-0003
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Palm Desert, California, will
hold a public hearing to consider a request to designate the single-family residence
located at 47550 Silver Spur Trail as a local historic landmark.
The City of Palm Desert has determined that the proposed landmark designation is not subject to
the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to CEQA Guidelines sections
15060(c)(2) and 15060(c)(3) because the action will not result in a direct or reasonably
foreseeable indirect physical change in the environment and does not constitute a project as
defined by CEQA Guidelines section 15378.
PROJECT LOCATION: 47550 Silver Spur Trail, Palm Desert, CA 92260 (APN 630-250-046)
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The property owner requests that the single-family residence located
at 47550 Silver Spur Trail be designated as a local historic landmark. On June 24, 2026, the
Historic Preservation Committee recommended that the City Council deny the landmark
designation application.
PUBLIC HEARING: NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Palm Desert,
California, will hold a Public Hearing at its meeting on September 10, 2026. The City Council
meeting begins at 4:00 p.m. in the Council Chamber at 73510 Fred Waring Drive, Palm Desert,
California. The meeting will provide opportunities for the public to attend and comment in person
or remotely. Instructions for remote participation will be included in the posted agenda available
at www.palmdesert.gov/government/meetings
COMMENT ON THIS APPLICATION: Those wishing to comment on this application may either
appear in person at the public hearing or submit written comments, which must be received by
10:00 a.m. on the day of the hearing. Written comments should be sent to the City of Palm Desert
at 73510 Fred Waring Drive, Palm Desert, California 92260, Attention: City Clerk, or emailed to:
cityclerk@palmdesert.gov.
If you challenge the proposed landmark designation in court, you may be limited to raising only
those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing described in this notice or in written
correspondence delivered to the City Council, in care of the City Clerk, at or prior to the public
hearing. (Government Code section 65009(b)(2).)
