CASE NO: 995 SA APPLICANT (AND ADDRESS): WESTFEILD DEVELOPMENT CO. NATURE OF PROJECT/APPROVAL SOUGHT: Approval of monument sign. LOCATION: Palrm Desert Business Park ZONE: Mr. Smith indicated that code permits one freestanding sign per private property. Commissioner Cook suggested placing the sign against the building so that it would be a wall mounted sign. Mr. Smith suggested that the applicant attend the planning commission meeting concerning the Palm Desert Town Center signage. This matter would be within the same code section and the applicant would be able to express his views. Commissioner Martin noted that code states - only one monument sign per business park is allowed and that the commission should abide by the code. Moved by Commissioner Martin, seconded by Commissioner Cook to deny this case based on these findings: 1. Code limits one freestanding sign per private property. 2. The name on the sign refers to a business park which would make this a business park within a business park. 2 MINUTES ARCHITECT'URAL COMMISSION APRIL 23, 1985 3.
