LOCATION: S�utheast corner of Highwdy 74 and El Paseo.
ZONE: C-1
Plans were subrnitted and discussed by the applicant for the
remodeling of the existing "Adobe Piaz�".
Existing storefronts are t.o be brought out towards the
sidewalks. It will be necessary to make elevation changes of
some stores b�cause of the pro�lern with the sidewalks. Second
floor exposure I�ras been minimized and the �ntrance will bes by
first floor street level only. Stairways are being planned for
sPrond floor entrance.
Three requests are b�ing made as foliows:
1 Pay an in-lieu fee for parking spaces nat provided c�n site.
2. Street vacation.
3. Height limit.
Tower height is 3� feet and a request to City Council for relief
from height restrictions will be needsd.
Commissioner McCrea indicated that he had no �oncerns with the
concept as presented. He felt. that the applic:�nt should obt�in
prelimin�ry approval of the Palm Desert Property Owners Assaciation
prior to returning to this commission for preliminary a�prov�l .
