The representative indicated that the concept of the guard house is
to provide residents with a private security entrance. The guard
house will have date palm and washingtonia robusta as opposed to the
filifera for the landscaping.
Mr. Chamberlain indicated that the plans did riot shaw handicap
accessibility. He indicated that Mr. Conlon might be able write a
hardship letter that would allow for the deletion of the handicap
access.
Chairman Gregory indicated that the wall height is higher than what
the camnission had previously tlought. He asked for clarification of
the wall height.
The representative indicated that the wall varies in height and in
some areas the height is 11 ft. Along the wall step planters
have been implemented to reduce the imposing view with a softer one.
The signage will be mounted onto the wall.
Chairman Gregory reccenended using sterile fountain grass instead of
the proposed fountain grass.
Mr. Jim Blocker (Homeawner on Arrow Trail) expressed his concerns on
the landscape materials along Arrow Trail rot being canpatible with
the existing landscaping in the area. He indicated that the
landscaping in this area is done with desert landscape materials.
Also, the rorth end of the wall on Arrow Trail for last pad has been
built up to 9 feet until you turn the corner where it drops down to
6 feet again, with the drainage going over the wall. He would like
the wall to be at the top of the curb elevation.
The representative will go out to the site to check the e.xisting
landscaping and incorporate it into the landscaping along the Arrow
Trail, and Mr. Dunham will check the wall height along Arrw Trail.
It was motioned by Commissioner Cook, seconded by Comnissioner
Sullivan to give preliminazy appraval on the guard 2ouse, landscaping
and perimeter wall, with the exception of the landscaping and

The commission was concerned about the north, east and west
elevatian.
The representative on this project indicated that they are looking
