He noted that there was not an approved sign program for this }xiildirig, hawever the existing signs on other businesses were consistent in color, all beirig light bravri and brawri. He added that the signs did not exceed the allawed square footage. Mr. Gregory felt that the tw� signs should be the same size (i.e. height). The applicant informed the camLittee that the existing signs throughout the building were all different sizes and that was why he had oa�e sign at 18" and t.� other at 27". He had made these signs the same size as the signs neXt to them. Mr. Metsovas replied that they would be slightly sloped. CaYm.issioner Conner asked if the annual color will be replaced twice a year and the applicant said they would be. Mr. Conner felt that the planting was too light. Chairman Gregory felt that the applicant did not meet the city's parking lot shade requirements. Catmissioner Conner r�inded Mr. Metsavas that he would need one shade tree for evexy three parking spaces. Chaizman GY�egory infornied the applicant that the pa]ms inr�icated on his plans would riot contribute to the city's shade tree requiren�nt. He would have to go to a broader tree. Chainnan GY�egory info�med applicant that the proble�n he was facing was that he is rx�t used to preparing landscape plans for the city. This would create root problems, cracked c�r�crete, etc. He felt the applicant really should get a licensed landscape architect to help prepare the plans nr�ting that Mr. Metsovas was lacking too many areas. Mr. Smith reininded applicant that he had bee.n told 28 days ago to hire a lan�dscape architect a�d have the revised plans submitted within thirty (30) days for approval or the job wr�uld be stopped.
