Jeff Winklepleck presented plans for new business identification signage which included a total of five different signs ( four facing El Paseo and one facing the parking lot. Mr. Winklepleck noted that their were two different uses in the building, both under the name "Hyacinthe" ; however, the signage did not indicate the two different businesses or where each was actually located. Commissioner Urrutia felt the sign on the parking lot side was acceptable, but felt that the four signs on the front of the building were too much. One of the applicants, Mr. Ed Baron, indicated that there were two separate stores with two separate leases and discussed the reasons for the number of signs requested. Commissioner O'Donnell discussed his concerns with the "H" located in the tower element. Commissioner Gregory felt that there were too many different styles noting the letter "H" in one location, the logo in another location and signs in various other locations on the building. He felt that the signs needed to be simplified in some way. Commissioner Urrutia felt that if the commission were looking two different stores in this building, the third sign in the middle arch would be unnecessary, and suggested placinq the proposed sign over the arch on the glass . The applicant did not want to place signage on the windows because it would block the displays . Commission approved the signage subject to deletion of the "H" on the tower. B.
